MEPs called on Josep Borrell, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and Vera Yourova, Deputy Chair of the European Commission, to respond immediately to the flagrant violation of freedom of speech and information in Russia. The deputies also demand from the Russian authorities to stop persecution and intimidation of independent media and investigative journalists.
