August 9

• In Ufa, a Muslim was arrested on charges of involvement in the banned organization At-Takfir wal-Hijra. Earlier, he reported that the case was fabricated using threats and torture
• The court slightly mitigated the punishment in the case of the terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro: ten defendants sentenced to terms from 19 to 28 years of strict regime were reduced by one to two months. The rest of the verdict was left unchanged
• The defendant in the “palace case” in Moscow, Alexander Federyakov, was sentenced to one and a half years in prison
• Igor Shishkin, sentenced to three and a half years in prison in the Penza “Network” case, was released. He left Russia and told about torture during detention and investigation
• Actionist Krysevich has been extended the pre-trial detention center for a month in the case of the shooting on Red Square

• An anesthetic was taken away from Ivan Zhdanov’s father in the pre-trial detention center during a search. He is kept in a 12-bed cell with a temperature of over 39 degrees
• Petersburg deputy Maxim Reznik house arrest was extended for three months in a drug case
• The Prosecutor General’s Office recognized the “Belgian International Partnership for Human Rights” as an “undesirable” organization
