August 9

• The court slightly mitigated the punishment in the case of the terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro: ten defendants sentenced to terms from 19 to 28 years of strict regime were reduced by one to two months. The rest of the verdict was left unchanged
• The defendant in the “palace case” in Moscow, Alexander Federyakov, was sentenced to one and a half years in prison
• Igor Shishkin, sentenced to three and a half years in prison in the Penza “Network” case, was released. He left Russia and told about torture during detention and investigation
