August 30

September 1

  • In Blagoveshchensk, the verdicts of Jehovah’s Witnesses were approved. Aleksey Berchuk – 8 years in prison – left unchanged. This is the harshest sentence in the case of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia. Dmitry Golik is 6 years and 2 months in prison. His term was reduced by 10 months
  • The Ministry of Justice has included in the register of media – “foreign agents” four legal entities, which were created by journalists recognized as “foreign agents”
  • The prosecution requested four years in prison for a Ufa pensioner accused of financing extremism activities due to the transfer of funds to the mother of Bashkir opposition leader Airat Dilmukhametov, who was sentenced to nine years in prison under articles on extremism and terrorism

September 4

  • The defendant in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case went on a hunger strike due to another extension of the term of detention in the punishment cell
  • The Ministry of Internal Affairs has banned an employee of the campaign headquarters of Andrei Pivovarov with Tajik citizenship from entering Russia
